Best Waterfalls on Maui
Don’t go chasin’ waterfalls…we’ll bring them to you! It isn’t a secret that Maui has tons of gorgeous waterfalls, but how do you pick which ones to see?
There is no shortage of options on Road to Hana, but we’ll include some favorites below!
*Added bonus: Honokohau Falls in West Maui is the tallest waterfall on Maui, inaccessible except by helicopter.
Waimoku Falls
Located at the end of the Pipiwai Trail in Haleakala National Park.

13 Crossings (Makamakaole Stream)
You’ll have the chance to see multiple waterfalls on this hike, which crosses the stream thirteen times.
Twin Falls
The first popular spot on Road to Hana, complete with a food stand and ample parking.
Pua’a Ka’a Falls
About a 0.4 mile out and back trail will bring you to this Hana beauty!
Mile marker 25
Upper Waikani Falls
This waterfall trio is often referred to as the Three Bears.
Located past mile marker 19 in Hana.
Wailua Falls
This stunner is an 80 foot drop into a plunge pool, past mile marker 45. One of Maui’s most popular waterfalls!
Ohe’o Gulch
Located in Haleakala National Park, and often called the Seven Sacred Pools, this spot can be found at mile marker 42.
Hanawi Falls
Mile marker 24 on Road to Hana.
